Delaware/Mount Brydges Minor Baseball Association: Coaches Corner

All LDBA Meetings begin at 7:00 pm (Elizabeth Street Meeting Room), unless posted otherwise
All DMBMB Meetings begin at 8:00 pm (at Mt. Brydges Legion), unless posted otherwise
Once the season has begun, all DMBMB meetings start at 9:00 pm (same location)
Each team to be represented by at least one member
A list of Coaching Staffs for each DMBMB team will be provided once all are in place
A list of Coaches for your Division will be provided with your Schedule

TEAM PICTURES

Team pictures will be provided at a small cost to each team/player

UMPIRES

Umpires will be assigned to each game

UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT

All equipment, and uniforms will be provided to you by Ken Whittaker
Any equipment concerns should be directed to Ken at 902-7006
You are responsible for returning the equipment to Ken at year-end; cleaned, and properly inventoried
An equipment return date will be announced closer to the end-of-season

DIAMOND LINING & PREPARATION

The diamond will be prepared for you on game day. It is your teams responsibility to pick up the bases after your game, replace the base caps and return the bases to the appropriate storage shed
If rain is expected, teams playing at Lions Park in Delaware or Komoka should put the cover/tarp back on the mound ensuring that it is properly pinned down
Rookie Ball teams are responsible for transporting the Pitching Machine to the appropriate storage area after each game

PITCHING MACHINE

There are three Pitching Machines available for your use.
Pitching Machines will be stored at the MB Arena diamond, Delaware Main, and Lion's Park
Rookie Ball teams have first call on the machines
A schedule of reserved users will be posted at Lions Park. Please contact Ken Whittaker (902-7006) to reserve.
Any mechanical problems wITH the machines should be reported to Ken immediately

RAIN DELAYS/CANCELLATIONS

If rain causes the cancellation of a home game please contact -TBA- and the opposing coach ASAP.
If you arrive at the park consult with the respective Coaches about whether to begin a game.
If the game has started, it becomes the Umpires decision to call the game. Before that, it's the Coaches decision.
At the first sign of lightening, play will stop and all players and umpires MUST leave the field.

TOURNAMENTS

You are welcome to enter a Tournament at your Teams expense
If you'd like to host a Tournament in Mt. Brydges or Delaware, please contact -TBA-

(Bantam, Midget & Juvenile Boys)

CALL-UP'S

If you are short players for a game you are free to call-up players from a lower Division
Or (in the case of Rookie, Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam Boys and Midget Boys -- House League), you can use girls from a parallel girls Division
Squirt girls can also call-up girls playing Rookie Ball and/or Mite Girl's Fastball
As a courtesy (prior to contacting call-up players), please contact the appropriate Coach if you plan to use his/her player(s)
